Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The rooms, while spacious and clean, needed some maintenance and a thorough cleaning. The service from the staff, particularly Stephen, was excellent, very accommodating and welcoming. The location was stunning, with beautiful grounds for activities like kayaking and golf, but the dining experience at the Palmer Restaurant was a bit lacking in attention. However, the complimentary access to the Straffan Inn was a nice touch.
The hotel offers fab rooms, fab service, fab staff, and fab facilities. The rooms were lovely with a super cosy bed, extremely spacious with large bathrooms and all the expected 5-star amenities. A minor drawback was the lack of scheduled turndown service compared to other 5-star hotels.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were lovely, but the triple room I booked had a pull-out couch instead of a bed, which was a bit of a letdown. On the bright side, the room had beautiful views of the grounds and was very spacious and quiet with a garden view. However, it was uncomfortably warm even with the window open and heating off, making me wake up sweating. Despite these setbacks, I would consider returning in the future.
The hotel is located at the far side, which can be a bit of a walk, however very clean. The rooms were of the period and decorated well. It was a good size but a major disappointment for the money being spent.
The hotel offers beautiful rooms with a lovely patio area overlooking green fields, adorned with plush furnishings. The bar, though small, was cozy and accommodated us as we waited. The friendly service and amazing food led to a great night's sleep. The location is stunning, though we missed out on some activities. The dining experience, despite some chaos, presented excellent dishes. Overall, a delightful stay with some minor hiccups.
